Things to remember when choosing your Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy.

Choose an accredited breeder there are a lot of puppy farms that just breed for money and don't car about the welfare of the dogs if you suspect that you have seen a puppy farm report it immediately or email me and I will look into it.

Breeders with Kennel club registered puppies can be found by searching the Kennel club register

What to expect from a breeder.

The breeder should let you see the puppy with the Mother and other puppies you will be able to see the temperament of the Mother and give you an idea of  future characteristics and size of your puppy.

The breeders will register all puppies of the litter with the Kennel Club and give each puppy their Kennel Club name and issue you with a Kennel Club Registration Certificate and the pedigree of your puppy this pedigree (which shows the ancestry). A Transfer of Registered Ownership Form printed on the reverse to enable you to transfer the ownership of your puppy into your own name. Always make sure you have the signature of the breeders on this form before leaving with your new puppy. If the registration certificate is not available at the time of purchase, ensure that you receive an undertaking in writing from the breeder that this will be sent to you when available.

You should also be given by the breeder a contract of sale and should have details of both breeders and your responsibilities to the puppy.  The contract should also list any official Kennel Club endorsements (restrictions) that the breeder has placed on the puppy’s records, and in particular on what basis the breeder may be prepared to remove the endorsement. Before or at the time of sale, you should give a signed acknowledgement of any endorsement placed.

Written advice on training, feeding, exercise, worming and immunisation. Also any health certificates for the sire and dam.
